First Choice Holidays

A few years ago First Choice Holidays before they became part of the TUI Group were starting to construct ‘Holiday Villages’ in Spain and then onto Turkey and elsewhere. The first of these was on the Costa del Sol just south of Malaga.

We had been involved with First Choice organising Senior Management Conferences, providing Sets, staging, signage and technical facilities and also producing entertainment in the UK and also in Mallorca, Morocco and mainland Spain.

When the Holiday Village was opening on the Costa del Sol they decided that they wanted to make a promotional video which would be shown at their conferences, used on the new website they were developing and also in travel agents in the UK.

We were asked to organise it. Having never made a video before, we organised a film crew and together with First Choice we wrote the story board and directed the shoot over four days in 35 degree temperatures.

Back in the UK we used facilities and staff at Comtec AV in Croydon to edit the video and it has been used by First Choice, now TUI, ever since.
